Staff Respiratory Therapist - Thompson, Manitoba
Permanent Full-Time
Hourly salary range: $34.448 - $39.931
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides routine and intensive cardio-respiratory care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, clinical pathways and professional standards. Consults, confers and collaborates with other health care providers. Demonstrates expertise and leadership in respiratory practices. Under minimal supervision, provides therapy and assessment related to respiratory care and documenting client/patient progress, setting up and monitoring equipment.
Qualifications:
-
Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy

Eligible to practice and maintain licensure to practicewith the Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists (MARRT)

Registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) preferred

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Current certification from a recognized Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), or obtain within three (3) months of commencing employment

Minimum one (1) year clinical experience preferred

Pediatric/neonatal experience preferred

The NHR supports senior practicum placements in a variety of health care disciplines. Students are paired with an experienced preceptor who will help to provide a well-rounded senior practicum experience. Accommodations may be available.
